Foot (heel) pain won't go away?

Two weeks ago I came home from a 17 hour road trip to Quebec from Nova Scotia. The drive up felt okay until the last few hours. Shortly before reaching our destination the muscle in my foot (the heel) started to have a sharp pain.

I bought some muscle pain spray, and it helped a little bit. But it's been two weeks and my heel is still sore. I am a cashier at a grocery store so I have no choice but to put pressure on it. I have been wearing comfortable sneakers with insoles but it still hasn't helped. Before I go to sleep I massage my feet with moisturizing cream but it still hurts.

Is there anything I can do or should I go to the doctor's?
If it's any help, I didn't drive. I sat in the back space with plenty of leg room. I also made sure to get up and stretch/walk every 2-3 hours of our trip.

Thanks in advanced for any help/suggestions. : )
