Plantar fasciitis can be caused due to excessive stretching, walking, excessive body weight, use of improper foot wear, use of worn out foot wear or due to pregnancy or over exercising or over activity in sports.

It is not difficult to cure this problem. One should exercise care while walking and stretching. Proper diagnosis with the podiatrist can definitely help solve this problem. It is advisable to go for physical examination and tests and X rays.
